Star Pearls 8*14*06

Big announcement!
Star*Watch

Straight to the Moon
Wandering Stars

Dear friends,

Since I've been going on about Homer, some of you may be thinking: All this myth stuff sounds pretty neato, but can astrology be practical in the 21st century? The simple answer: Yes! This column will be a bit of a departure from the usual sky report. Here are recent examples of perhaps the most *real world* of astrology applications - predicting moves in the financial markets.

In late April and early May the price of gold was soaring. Even people outside the gold world were noticing, and gold's rise was making mainstream headlines. If you scroll down on this page, you'll see the 6 month and 1 year charts. You'll clearly see that this peak, the highest gold has been in a decade, was an significant top.

Right in the middle of the rise up on Thursday May 11, I wrote this in a public email forum:

"Gold may very well be in a long term bull market, but even great runs up correct. I'm looking for a top on 5/15 with some chance of double top on 5/17. After this some of this gold madness will cool through 5/28 at least."

This turned out to be an incredible prediction. The actual top was on Friday 5/12, not Monday as called, but there was a double top just a few dollars shy of the high exactly on Wednesday 5/17.

This was done entirely with traditional astrology! I have not spent years following the gold market, and in fact made this prediction with a few hours of work. That is a few hours of work looking at gold, and years and years of dedicated study understanding how astrology impacts life in all kinds of ways.

Here's another one, this time in the stock market. On Thursday 7/6 I advised a private client that there was tough times coming up and it looked like stocks would go down hard. I made a strong recommendation to short (that is, bet on a down move) on 7/10. The market tanked - the Dow index lost about 400 points, about 4% of its total value, in just 4 days. For my client, though, this was a great gain.

Soon after that, I advised the same client to buy in on 7/18. This was a dip and the market went mostly up all the way to 8/4. Here's a chart that shows how accurate and profitable these predictions turned out to be.

Since one of my very favorite things in life is watching the astrology unfold from moment to moment, over the last several months I have been making a detailed study of the daily effects on the stock market.

And now for the big announcement! Here is the result of all the time in study. Business partner, friend and Bay Area astrologer and trader Alex Villamil and I have launched a new company geared towards stock market forecasts and other financial services.

www.HorizonMarkets.com

Our first service called QuickTrader is for people trading the daily movements of the market, especially in the Dow, S&P, or Nasdaq futures. This is where big money can be made very quickly, because the small movements are highly leveraged. Soon we'll be offering other services like swing trading recommendations and longer term forecasts, equity reports and individual trader analyses. If you have any questions or an interest in particular market, equity or other financial research project, please let me know.

To spark interest in our methodology, QuickTrader is free for a limited time. You'll see how much of the market I can predict in advance each day. For many this is an unthinkable project, but I'm taking it on. If you know people in the markets, spread the word!

If you want such dedication to accuracy applied to your own life, I will continue to do astrology readings in the afternoons. For information on readings, please visit the services page or contact me for an appointment.

Sun * in Leo! With Sun in Leo, we want to be king or queen of the jungle. If the boss is in the way, go on vacation. True the Sun in Leo appreciates luxury and playtime, but the heart of Leo is self realization and authentic experience. For this the real Sun in Leo will forsake the glitter and go all the way to truth.  The Sun also has a special influence on Sundays, Wednesday nights and all Sun hours. For planetary days and hours at your location (highly recommended!), download freeware from ChronosXP.

Monday 8/14 * Moon in Taurus. Taurus Moon goes after pleasure, and with 4 planets in Leo we'll expect the best. Four star restaurants, snazzy threads, living our life as a grand celebration.

Tuesday 8/15 * 4th Quarter Moon in Taurus. Sun in Leo ultimately goes past luxury to truth, but Moon in Taurus is more conservative. What about the house, car & bank account? Leo wants to sail on to uncharted waters, yet Taurus Moon insists on some security.

Wednesday 8/16 * Moon in Gemini, Sun trine Pluto. The Leo grandeur is now lighting up our words and thoughts. You'll hear a lot of me myself and I but this may be well earned. Most astrologers will say a Pluto trine is harmonious but I say any aspect to Pluto is by nature not easy. See how you feel and let me know.

Thursday 8/17 * Moon in Gemini, Mercury square Jupiter. Sun past Pluto will be a general relief, but our minds will be lucky and hardworking at the same time. ommunication with elders is also beneficial.

Friday 8/18 * Moon in Cancer. Sun in Leo and Moon in Cancer is a special combination and this year we've had it twice. The Sun is said to rule Leo due to the natural affinity between the shining Sun and exuberant Lion; and the Moon rules Cancer because of the similarity of emotional pulls and the deep water Crab. See how your essential action and nourishing intake are both on good grooves today.

Saturday 8/19 * Moon in Cancer. Along with all this Leo emphasis is a final pass of one of the most electrifying aspects in astrology, Jupiter trine Uranus. If this aspect is activating a significant spot in your chart, sudden new things come out of nowhere (like www.HorizonMarkets.com ) and blast off. The world is giving birth to the next generation, and those taking part will have opportunities mid afternoon today.

Sunday 8/20 * Moon in Cancer, into Leo 11:35 pm, Mercury conjunct Saturn. Our minds feel heavy, but Moon in Cancer knows how to take care. Get out of your head and into the body. Worries and gloomy thoughts will start to pass in the evening - aspect exact 5:40 pm.

Have a stellar week!

Peace and love,
Jonathan Pearl

Wandering Stars - the planets

Venus * in Leo. Venus in Leo loves to be noticed, adored and above all, loved. If she's not getting at least some praise, and better declarations of utter love and commitment for life, then she'll think something is amiss. And as the story of the lioness a couple columns back demonstrates, disloyalty is *not* tolerated. Even though Saturn in Leo is casting a gray cast to the most colorful of signs, still will be more flair in fashion and gold to boot. Whereas Venus in Cancer may be the subtle rose, Venus in Leo is the must-be-noticed stargazer lily. Venus sweetens Fridays, Monday nights and all hours of Venus.

Mars * in Virgo. Drive to accomplish, improve, purify, but the methods will be wildly imaginative and unpredictable thanks to opposing Uranus in Pisces. Men in particular will be eating right and extra health conscious. Mars in Virgo through September 7. Mars has more bang on Tuesdays, Friday nights and all hours of Mars..

Jupiter * in Scorpio. Now direct, so we see more outer results of inner work done the past few months. Jupiter in Scorpio blesses therapies, healing modalities, joint finance arrangements and amplifies our sexuality. Jupiter wants to do good, but in Scorpio functions by responding to others with some kind of attack. The energy: This might hurt, but it is for your own good and my own protection! Great regeneration and power is possible if we find the positive side of our deepest emotions. Jupiter here also benefits Aquarius (by antiscion) and sister water signs of Cancer and Pisces. Jupiter in Scorpio through November 2006. Jupiter blesses Thursdays, Sunday nights and all Jupiter hours.

Saturn * in Leo. Developments in some long term structures in life are moving forward, but concrete Saturn moving into an opposition with destabilizing Neptune. This is a major aspect and will set the tone for everything else later this summer and on into 2007. More in a column coming soon. Saturn in Leo through September 2007. Saturn stabilizes Saturdays, Tuesday nights and all Saturn hours.

Dragon's Head * in Pisces. We advance towards peace, arts and spirituality, and partnerships are also a must. Without the sweet embrace of love, substitutes can be not just an occasional indulgence but a routine.

Dragon's Tail * in Virgo. As placements go, this is a bit tough. The Dragon's Tail is like the tai-chi master doing quiet movements but little else. How does this function in the sign of accomplishment through detail & perfection? We let go of ways we are unnecessarily restrictive. Hard work is a virtue, but unless guided by a Pisces wholeness will never bring us true peace.
