Straight to the Moon
Wandering Stars
Dear friends,
Since I've been going on
about Homer, some of you may be thinking: All this myth stuff sounds pretty
neato, but can astrology be practical in the 21st century? The simple answer:
Yes! This column will be a bit of a departure from the usual sky report. Here
are recent examples of perhaps the most *real world* of astrology applications -
predicting moves in the financial markets.
In late April and early May the price of gold was
soaring. Even people outside the gold world were noticing, and gold's rise was
making mainstream headlines. If you scroll down on
this page,
you'll see the 6 month and 1 year charts. You'll clearly see that this peak, the
highest gold has been in a decade, was an significant top.
Right in the middle of the rise up on Thursday May
11, I wrote this in a public email forum:
"Gold may very well be in a long term bull market,
but even great runs up correct. I'm looking for a top on 5/15 with some chance
of double top on 5/17. After this some of this gold madness will cool through
5/28 at least."
This turned out to be an incredible prediction.
The actual top was on Friday 5/12, not Monday as called, but there was a double
top just a few dollars shy of the high exactly on Wednesday 5/17.
This was done entirely with traditional astrology!
I have not spent years following the gold market, and in fact made this
prediction with a few hours of work. That is a few hours of work looking at
gold, and years and years of dedicated study understanding how astrology impacts
life in all kinds of ways.
Here's another one, this time in the stock market.
On Thursday 7/6 I advised a private client that there was tough times coming up
and it looked like stocks would go down hard. I made a strong recommendation to
short (that is, bet on a down move) on 7/10. The market tanked - the Dow index
lost about 400 points, about 4% of its total value, in just 4 days. For my
client, though, this was a great gain.
Soon after that, I advised the same client to buy
in on 7/18. This was a dip and the market went mostly up all the way to 8/4.
Here's a
chart that shows how accurate and profitable these predictions turned out
to be.
Since one of my very favorite things in life is
watching the astrology unfold from moment to moment, over the last several
months I have been making a detailed study of the daily effects on the stock
market.
And now for the big announcement! Here is the
result of all the time in study. Business partner, friend and Bay Area
astrologer and trader Alex Villamil and I have launched a new company geared
towards stock market forecasts and other financial services.
www.HorizonMarkets.com
Our first service called QuickTrader is for people
trading the daily movements of the market, especially in the Dow, S&P, or Nasdaq
futures. This is where big money can be made very quickly, because the small
movements are highly leveraged. Soon we'll be offering other services like swing
trading recommendations and longer term forecasts, equity reports and individual
trader analyses. If you have any questions or an interest in particular market,
equity or other financial research project, please let me know.
To spark interest in our methodology, QuickTrader
is free for a limited time. You'll see how much of the market I can predict in
advance each day. For many this is an unthinkable project, but I'm taking it on.
If you know people in the markets, spread the word!
