Straight to the Moon
Wandering Stars
Dear friends,
On Saturday I was lucky to
catch the last days of the
Monet in Normandy
exhibit at the Legion of Honor in SF. While I expected to like the show, almost
each painting was enthralling. I was utterly amazed at image after image. Upon
leaving the only regret was not going on a weekday afternoon to have more time
with the paintings and less people in the way. Even with the crowds, the the
experience ranked up with one of my favorite art exhibits, ever.
Being an astrologer and a curious type, upon
returning home I looked up Monet's chart. While an exact birth time was not
readily available, using a noon chart the position of his Jupiter at 27 Scorpio
52 jumped out because that is the same exact position of my own Jupiter, to the
very minute! Even if he was born early before dawn or later near midnight,
Jupiter would still be very close.
I am not saying this makes me share in Monet's
genius. Nor does this make my own Jupiter somehow better because it happens to
be the position of Monet's. I am saying that his own version of what is
uplifting and beneficial might be very similar to mine because of the Jupiter
connection. And because an artist will tend to paint what he finds uplifting and
sublime, it fits that I'd love his paintings.
Because of this I am writing about him, furthering
knowledge of his work and perhaps adding to the number of visitors if the
exhibit was still open. This is the nature of positive connection. In this case
there is not much that a local astrologer can contribute to the lasting fame of
a truly great artist, but this is just one example. How about a Jupiter
connection between teacher and student, or a Sun connection between friends, or
a Venus connection between lovers?
When we have positive connections, both people
benefit from the exchange. And when the connection is good - like Jupiter
conjunct Jupiter, Venus trine Venus, Moon conjunct Sun, etc, - this happens
easily.
The Sun joins Mercury and Mars in the connection
sign of Libra on Friday of this week, so cultivate your relationships and enjoy
mutual uplifting experiences.

I love predicting the stock market because it
shows every day how much astrology impacts our behavior. Last week Thursday I
called for a key low at 12:04 (thanks to Pluto, by the way) and
here it is right in the chart exact to the minute. This was called entirely
in advance, many hours before the market even opened!

Sun * in Virgo, entering Libra Friday night at 9:05 pm. Sun from Virgo to Libra
is the movement from work to art, productivity to pleasure, solitude to
interaction with others. With ruler Venus still in Virgo for another week we'll
still be discriminating in our relationships and insist on some improvement; but
then with Sun, Venus and Mars all in Libra for a few weeks we can experience the
best of interaction. The catch of Libra - too many enticing options swinging
those scales back and forth. The Sun also has a special influence on Sundays, Wednesday nights and all Sun
hours. For planetary days and hours at your location (highly recommended!),

ChronosXP.
Moon * New Moon Solar Eclipse early Friday morn on 9/22.
Monday 9/18 * Moon in Leo. We want attention for our efforts today, but may be
aware of the ways we aren't getting seen or the work that needs to be done so
that the recognition can happen. Venus aspecting Jupiter early tomorrow while
not the smoothest of meet-ups between the lover and the prince still has the
heavens singing tonight.
Tuesday 9/19 * Moon in Leo, into Virgo 5:10 pm,
Venus sextile Jupiter. Waning Moon in Leo with ruler Sun in Virgo - one
translation: how can we do less work and get greater results? This is an
entirely valid question both yesterday and today, and with the coming Libra
emphasis where we'll want more time away from the desk especially worthwhile to
consider.
Wednesday 9/20 * Moon in Virgo. Virgo at times can
be solitary while she pursues her own perfectionist agenda, but not today. With
communicator Mercury in Libra, the themes are productivity and improvements in
our interaction and relationships.
Thursday 9/21 * Moon in Virgo. Last days of double
Virgo and another best chance to clean up body, space & mind.
Friday 9/22 * New Moon Solar eclipse at 4:45 am,
Moon into Libra 6:05 am, Sun into Libra 9:05 pm. If you are willing to set the
alarm, Tibetan Buddhists say that actions during a Solar eclipse are multiplied
millions of times making this morn key for meditation, yoga and positive ritual.
And here's a tip - while most of us think of ritual as asking the powers that be
for just what we want, the Buddhist view is that that praying for all beings
brings the best results. I mention this today because Libra (along with Pisces)
may be the sign that is most aware of interconnection. If 4:45 is just too early
for you, the alignment of Sun, Moon and Earth that creates an eclipse will start
to happen later Thursday night.
Saturday 9/23 * Moon in Libra, Mercury trine
Neptune. With the messenger inspired by the Queen of visions, art, music,
communications and all round positive inspiration all come easy. If singing
isn't your thing, anything you create with your hands also counts for Mercury.
Sunday 9/24 * Moon in Libra, into Scorpio 6:55 pm,
Jupiter square Neptune. Some days we go out and buy music and know it is a good
thing; other days we know we should probably just hold off. Today is more of the
former but watch any thinking along the lines of 'oh how bout adding just one
more' because this probably isn't. This logic applies towards alcohol and sugar
as well but if you want to spend the whole day at the beach please go ahead.
Have a stellar week!
Peace and love,
Jonathan Pearl

Wandering Stars - the planets
Mercury * in Libra. The messenger in the
sign of partnership naturally thinks of options and others. Back and forth go
the mental swings, what to choose? Let's talk it out. Mercury in Libra through
October 2. Mercury is especially active on Wednesdays, Saturday nights and
all hours of Mercury.
Venus * in Virgo. Venus in Virgo is Self Improvement 301.
Taking care of the body, the mind, the job ... all so the relationship coming
can be that much better. Venus in Virgo late Tuesday Sept 5 through Sept 30. Venus sweetens Fridays, Monday
nights and all hours of Venus.
Mars * in Libra. Drive towards partnerships, art, pleasure, dialog and options. It is the last
part that is the trickiest of Mars in Libra - when it comes time to act we want
to just go, not debate about all the choices yet back and forth, forth and back,
back and forth. Mars in Libra on September 7
through October 23. Mars has more bang on
Tuesdays, Friday nights and all hours of Mars.
Jupiter * in Scorpio. Now direct, so we see more
outer results of inner work done the past few months. Jupiter in Scorpio blesses therapies, healing modalities,
joint finance arrangements and amplifies our sexuality. Jupiter wants to do
good, but in Scorpio functions by responding to others with some kind of attack.
The energy: This might hurt, but it is for your own good and my own protection!
Great regeneration and power is possible if we find the positive side of our
deepest emotions. Jupiter here also benefits Aquarius (by antiscion) and sister
water signs of Cancer and Pisces. Jupiter in Scorpio through November 2006.
Jupiter blesses Thursdays, Sunday nights and all Jupiter hours.
Saturn * in Leo. Developments in some long term structures in
life are moving forward, but concrete Saturn moving into an opposition with
destabilizing Neptune. This is a major aspect and will set the tone for
everything else later this summer and on into 2007. Saturn in Leo through September 2007. Saturn
stabilizes Saturdays, Tuesday nights and all Saturn hours.
Dragon's Head * in Pisces. We advance towards peace, arts and spirituality, and
partnerships are also a must. Without the sweet embrace of love, substitutes can
be not just an occasional indulgence but a routine.
Dragon's Tail * in Virgo. As placements go, this is a bit tough. The Dragon's
Tail is like the tai-chi master doing quiet movements but little else. How does
this function in the sign of accomplishment through detail & perfection? We let
go of ways we are unnecessarily restrictive. Hard work is a virtue, but unless
guided by a Pisces wholeness will never bring us true peace.
