Straight to the Moon
Wandering Stars
Dear friends,
How does the astrologer use
astrology? The science of the stars is an ongoing fascination, but in this
column I'd like to write of ways astrology informed my life last week in very
real ways.
I with a laptop hooked up to a full size monitor
on a desk at home with plants on each side. About two weeks ago the monitor
flickered, then all the colors dimmed, like the light bulb lighting up the
screen had suddenly gone from 100% to 50% (it's an old monitor but with good
colors and resolution). Hmm. I tapped the monitor and all seemed to be OK. Then
this started happening more and more frequently, so I was tapping and banging
the monitor at first a few times a day, then a few times an hour.
Mercury is soon going retrograde on October 28th,
so thought better to take care of this now. The Rx period will make the problem
worse, and I'd rather not buy then either. I could always work from the laptop
screen itself but for many hours a day this would be a strain. I ordered a new
flat screen monitor on Tuesday 9/10 with Mercury trine Uranus; Dell promised
delivery by 10/13 and likely arrival next week, yet it showed up on 10/13. I am
looking at the new screen now as I type this column.
This kind of thing is possible for anyone willing
to keep up with Mercury Rx in advance! Why wait until the system crashes, then
realize that it is retrograde when it is even more difficult to solve? Take care
of tech now. I also recommend to do the most necessary damage control during the
Rx period because installing new systems then is like an invitation for them to
fail when the next one comes around.
On Wednesday 10/11 my calls for the stock market
were especially good, one of my golden days where just about everything happens
as predicted. I've had a few of these days already, but knew that with Moon in
Gemini and ruler of the twins Mercury conjunct Jupiter that this day in
particular might get people talking and spreading the word. I asked a trader who
is already enthusiastic about my system to help tell others online; he gladly
did so and our hits tripled to an all time high the very next day.
Whatever your field, a knowledge of basic
astrology can help you professionally. It is fairly easy to learn times days
that are good to ask for favors and days to keep quiet. This is but one example.
If you can keep up with the essential flavors of the sign of the Moon, you will
know something about how people are responding to virtually every situation.
Early on Thursday 10/12 the Moon went into Cancer.
Even early in the afternoon I knew just what I wanted to do that night - time to
relax in a hot bath. Cancer is a water sign and we are pulled towards creating
experiences that nourish us within. I relished the bath on Thursday and this was
a good thing. Friday turned out to be a long day crammed with activities yet I
went from 5:30 am to 10:30 pm non-stop with good energy.
Anyone can learn what types of things tend to feel
good with the Moon traveling around the zodiac. At the most basic level, it is
common to notice more movement and exercise with Moon in fire signs; taking care
of business and working with Moon in earth signs; communication with others and
learning with Moon in air signs; and more personal, quiet and creative time with
Moon in water signs.
When we do things in harmony with our world, the
world cooperates with us. Farmers know this and are deeply in touch with the
rhythms of time; when they are off they see the results with a less than bumper
crop. But when the right seed is planted in the right soil at the right time,
then with ongoing care nature takes care of the rest and we get results even
better than we expect.

Curious about my golden day mentioned above?
Here
it is - just read the predictions in the summary section on top (remember, all
posted the night before the market even opens) and then see what actually
happened the next day. If I can predict this much of the stock market, then you

Sun * in Libra puts our orientation on art, pleasure, choices and most of all,
interaction with others. With ruler Venus now in Libra, simply put we can
experience the best of partnerships. The catch of Libra - too many enticing options swinging
those scales back and forth. The Sun also has a special influence on Sundays, Wednesday nights and all Sun
hours. For planetary days and hours at your location (highly recommended!),

ChronosXP.
Monday 10/16 * Moon in Leo. This day is chock full of aspects (Sun sextile
Saturn just after midnight, then 6 Moon aspects, pretty high) but the real story
is Sun on Spica, one of the most important stars in the sky. Spica refers to the
spike or sheaf of wheat held by the goddess in the constellation of Virgo; it
represents the fruits of our labors. Like a farmer, we plan and then plant
seeds, water, feed, weed all day after day until we get our results; with care
at each step we reap a bounty and have seeds for next year's crop as well.
Tuesday 10/17 * Moon in Virgo, Sun sextile Pluto.
Moon in Virgo is usually keen on details, but with ruler Mercury in Scorpio
conjunct Jupiter, the best detail will be the uplifting yet profound perspective
that takes care of them all. Sun sextile Pluto are days that define the
generations, in this case a cooperation between action and the call to re-work a
certain area of life which differs with Pluto through the signs. The word
re-work appeals to me, a Pluto in Virgo; yet older Pluto in Leo baby boomers are
acting on power and leadership, while acting to reform relationships might be
the way for Gen Y Pluto in Libras.
Wednesday 10/18 * Moon in Virgo, Venus sextile
Saturn. The best of Venus-Saturn is commitment in love, attraction to everything
older and what lasts - antiques, the classics, history, elders, tradition. The
worst of Venus-Saturn is fear around love, feeling not attractive, unlovable,
unwanted, cold. Warm your heart and lean towards the positive side as best you
can.
Thursday 10/19 * Moon in Virgo, into Libra 12:19
pm. what a week for Sun and Venus as they both go from aspecting Saturn to
aspecting Pluto. For those of you who don't know the lingo, let's just say this
is interesting but not easy. Saturn restricts, Pluto potentializes but with a
squeeze; and so in the case of Venus we go from the relative damped down
yesterday to amped up today; this is like the jilted lover making a call to a
different friend sure to come through with the benefits.
Friday 10/20 * Dark of the Moon in Libra. Yes
Libra is all about partnerships, but when the Moon is dark she is dark and that
means attunement towards endings; the fresh starts come late Saturday night with
the New Moon.
Saturday 10/21 * New Moon in Libra. Some may
groove on the the pleasures and satisfactions of love even the morning, but the
real positive energy of the day is later with Moon conjunct Venus at 7:05
(that's a date!), new Moon at 10:15 pm (things looking up), and conjunct Mars at
11 (what happens after ;)
Sunday 10/22 * Moon in Scorpio, Mercury conjunct
Jupiter, Sun conjunct Mars. Today begins a transition from the very strong Libra
emphasis we've had over the past few weeks to a huge stellium (which simply
means grouping in one sign) in Scorpio which will be in play through for about a
month. From 10/22 to 11/16 there will be 5 planets in Scorpio - yes, the entire
time. More on this next week, but for today we have an uplifted mind (Mercury
conj Jupiter) and increased activity (Sun conjunct Mars).
Have a stellar week!
Peace and love,
Jonathan Pearl

Wandering Stars - the planets
Mercury * in Scorpio. Mercury in Scorpio is a deeply
penetrating mind. Whatever truth needs uncovering, whatever force of intellect
we need to power through, Mercury in Scorpio can do it. Mercury in Scorpio is
also very good for talk therapy. Mercury is especially active on Wednesdays, Saturday nights and
all hours of Mercury.
*** Mercury Rx alert 10/28 - 11/17 ***
Venus * in Libra. With Venus in Libra, we love
interaction and so our partnerships automatically improve. We are more accepting of ourselves and more interested in
other people to boot. Venus in Libra also likes harmony, all kinds of beautiful
experiences, dialog, and balance in all things. Venus in Libra from September 30 to October 24.
Venus sweetens Fridays, Monday
nights and all hours of Venus.
Mars * in Libra. Drive towards partnerships, art, pleasure, dialog and options. It is the last
part that is the trickiest of Mars in Libra - when it comes time to act we want
to just go, not debate about all the choices yet back and forth, forth and back,
back and forth. Mars in Libra on September 7
through October 23. Mars has more bang on
Tuesdays, Friday nights and all hours of Mars.
Jupiter * in Scorpio. Now direct, so we see more
outer results of inner work done the past few months. Jupiter in Scorpio blesses therapies, healing modalities,
joint finance arrangements and amplifies our sexuality. Jupiter wants to do
good, but in Scorpio functions by responding to others with some kind of attack.
The energy: This might hurt, but it is for your own good and my own protection!
Great regeneration and power is possible if we find the positive side of our
deepest emotions. Jupiter here also benefits Aquarius (by antiscion) and sister
water signs of Cancer and Pisces. Jupiter in Scorpio through November 2006.
Jupiter blesses Thursdays, Sunday nights and all Jupiter hours.
Saturn * in Leo. Developments in some long term structures in
life are moving forward, but concrete Saturn moving into an opposition with
destabilizing Neptune. This is a major aspect and will set the tone for
everything else later this summer and on into 2007. Saturn in Leo through September 2007. Saturn
stabilizes Saturdays, Tuesday nights and all Saturn hours.
Dragon's Head * in Pisces. We advance towards peace, arts and spirituality, and
partnerships are also a must. Without the sweet embrace of love, substitutes can
be not just an occasional indulgence but a routine.
Dragon's Tail * in Virgo. As placements go, this is a bit tough. The Dragon's
Tail is like the tai-chi master doing quiet movements but little else. How does
this function in the sign of accomplishment through detail & perfection? We let
go of ways we are unnecessarily restrictive. Hard work is a virtue, but unless
guided by a Pisces wholeness will never bring us true peace.
